State Grid Liaoning Province Dandong Beishan 66 kV Smart Substation: A Model Modular Substation in Northeast China, Enhancing Regional Power Grid Quality and Efficiency
The State Grid Liaoning Province Dandong Beishan 66KV Intelligent Substation, as a landmark modular intelligent substation in Northeast China, has been included in the pilot project of State Grid Corporation of China's modular intelligent substation. It is constructed by State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. and is a core hub project to promote the upgrading of regional power grid intelligence and ensure stable power supply. Its construction and operation provide solid support for power transmission and distribution in Dandong and surrounding areas, filling the application gap of 66KV level modular intelligent substations in the region. The core orientation of the substation is "modularization, intelligence and greening". It fully complies with the national grid intelligent substation construction standards and adopts advanced modular design concepts. The core equipment and technology are in line with industry norms, taking into account the reliability of power supply and the convenience of operation and maintenance. Its core construction highlights and technical advantages are as follows: in terms of construction mode, the substation adopts modular integrated design, fully draws on mature modular construction experience, significantly shortens the construction period and reduces the construction cost. This mode is highly consistent with the technical concept of modular substations of Liaoning Yidong Power Group and other enterprises, highlighting the core advantages of modular construction of "efficient, convenient and reusable". The core equipment adopts high-quality components that meet industry standards, and some supporting equipment is provided by professional enterprises such as Liaoning Yidong Electric Power Group. This enterprise is deeply involved in the production and installation of 66KV substation equipment and has rich industry adaptation experience. Its developed intelligent monitoring system can achieve real-time collection of equipment status, effectively reducing operation and maintenance costs by more than 30%. In terms of technical configuration, the substation is equipped with an intelligent monitoring and remote control system, which can achieve real-time monitoring of equipment status, fault warning, remote control and other functions. Its intelligence level benchmarks advanced industry standards, and some core technologies can achieve real-time collection of equipment status, accurate data analysis, avoid manual operation errors, and improve operation and maintenance efficiency. This is highly in line with the current development trend of "intelligent and less manned" 66KV substations. At the same time, the substation strictly follows the concept of green construction, pays attention to energy conservation and consumption reduction during the construction process, adopts environmentally friendly equipment and materials, practices the requirements of the "dual carbon" strategy, and is consistent with the green power supply solution concept advocated by enterprises such as Liaoning Yidong Electric. In terms of functional positioning, the Dandong Beishan 66KV intelligent substation mainly undertakes the tasks of power boosting, lowering, distribution, and power supply guarantee in the Dandong area and surrounding areas, covering diverse power consumption scenarios such as industrial production and residential life.
